Description
Support coding team for physician document compliance issues.
- Provide admin support for coding and transcription departments.
- Support Transcription team for physician document compliance issues.
- Manages provider correspondence and signed letters.
- Primary support for entrada app for the physicians
- Transcription team resource for Entrada support. Reports and resolves issues via Entrada’s ticketing system.
- Monitors secure communication messages and directs to appropriate department
- Provides escalated support and maintains support guide/training for staff on patient portal.
- Performs and completes all software upgrade testing for Trans, scribe and patient portal workflows.
- Core team, attends all Core team meetings.
- Manages the Transcription Department email inbox.
- Manages and updates the workflow inbox for Transcription and Coding Departments daily.
- Reviews all provider dictation for missing information and completeness. Requests missing information from providers via email or task when necessary.
- Processes and completes incoming ER to OR Hospital notes.
- Corrects and maps misdirected incoming dictation from our outside transcription service to the appropriate patient chart.
- Assembles and provides missing dictation packets to providers.
- Processes patient correction sheets, returned mail and failed faxes.
- Sorts correspondence, reports, misc. records, and routes to appropriate department.
- Copies medical records & correspondence as needed.
- Faxes medical records & correspondence as needed.
- Mails medical records & correspondence as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Ability to understand and interpret medical terminology
- Understanding and compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to type and 10 key by touch
- Knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- To be professional and courteous
- Able to multi task
- Prioritize work load daily, weekly and monthly
- Have high accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate clearly, concisely and courteously via phone, email and in person
Summary
Summary/Objective
Assists Transcriptionists in obtaining information in order to translate physician’s dictations, amends documentation, manages and prioritizes Transcription teams tasks.

- Updates daily task list for Transcriptionists to work from.
- Correspond with multiple departments to facilitate completion of documents.
- Complete amendments to documents as needed.
- Open and monitor tickets with Entrada.
- Develops an extensive knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with a variety of medical documents.
- Finish completed dictation and send to providers for review and sign off.
- Print, route and mail correspondence.
- Provider Onboarding.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical demands
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Able to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to hear and understand in person and over the phone, as well as to listen to verbal dictation.
- Able to speak and provide information in person and over the phone.
- Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Be able to work on a computer and keyboard for up to eight hours a day.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and training.
- CMT certification preferred.
- Previous orthopedic transcription experience preferred.
