Dr. Lantz and volunteers return from third mission trip to Haiti

September / 23 / 2016

Brick A. Lantz, MD, and a group of Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine employees and volunteers recently returned from a volunteer trip to Haiti, where they provided free orthopedic care to patients in need.

For the past three years, Dr. Lantz has coordinated mission trips to Haiti with Slocum volunteers. This year, the group worked at Hospital Bon Samaritain in Limbe, on the north side of Haiti, performing 32 surgeries and treating patients in the clinics. They also volunteered at a local orphanage and repaired the roof of a local building.
