Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Work under general direction from senior management
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Servers and NextGen EHR applications and upgrades
- Develop and maintain NextGen customizations and defaults
- Resolve NextGen Issues tickets
- Develop, maintain and assist in the management of other corporate databases (MS SQL Server)
- Plan, organize and implement work activities on multiple concurrent data management projects
- Maintain schema, definitions, and dictionary of company databases
- Provide database support for activities, projects, services and processes
- Ensure backup, recovery, and reorganization of the databases in the event of systems failure
- Monitor performance and needs relating to database access and maintenance; resolve and/or document problems
- Perform data analysis and complex reporting
- Develop and maintain corporate intranet dynamic web pages
- Document all database related development and NextGen customizations
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday-Friday – 8 hour workdays. Must be able to work flexible times. Remote work environment may be considered.

- Experience with Microsoft Office, technical publications, documentation, report writing, or desktop publishing
Can analyze performance analysis data to tune systems
Experience with MS SQL Server: Evaluation, design, modification, implementation and maintenance of multiples databases, including stored procedures and SSIS packages
Experience in web page development (ASP) and database interfacing via web forms/scripts
Experience with Crystal Reports
Experience managing project deadlines
Experience with data reporting software such as Tableau, Power BI, or SRSS preferred
Prior experience with NextGen or other Electronic Health Record preferred
Data warehouse experience preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 2-year degree or certificate in computer science or related field and/or minimum of 1 year experience in customer support, computer operations, or related area. Minimum 3 years experience in database development/maintenance/programming. Vendor certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD, MCDBA, etc.) or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Data Management desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, interpret, and analyze concepts and technical information from various sources. Has strong inter-personal and communication skills; is capable of explaining complex procedures in writing or verbally, and has good phone skills
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and operate in an extremely dynamic environment.
