We are looking for someone to join our fast paced, team oriented Revenue Cycle Team in an orthopedics practice. Main duties will be compiling surgery estimates for patients and collecting their deposits. Medical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties will include:
- Complies estimates based on research done in payer portals and Experian
- Creates and distributes correspondence for patients outlining their financial responsibilities
- Answer patient questions related to revenue cycle
- Other duties as assigned
We are a team oriented environment, but pretty fast paced and everyone processes a large volume of work. This is an excellent position to use as a starting place for a career in revenue cycle or healthcare operations. Computer skills are a must as this position will be utilizing a variety of applications including fax servers, electronic health records, spreadsheets and more.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a revenue cycle desired. Customer service experience highly desired. Must be highly organized, able to work independently as well as in a team and have the ability to work under stress.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to remain calm in demanding situations.
