ASSIST PHYSICIANS WITH PATIENT CARE

  • Performs x-ray in compliance with physician’s requests, operating within state and federal standards.
  • Processes and critiques requested images to assure proper quality.
  • Practices radiation safety techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient using ALARA.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent cultural competency skills with patients.   
  • Documents patient care through the Nextgen EMR System.
  • Ability to assist patient on/off X-Ray table.
  • Ability to reach overhead and manipulate the controls for the X-Ray.
  • Computer keyboarding skills to enter patient information into the Nextgen and Canon systems.
  • Attends education seminars as required to maintain Oregon license/ARRT
  • Use care with the digital imaging detectors and computer systems.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for a radiologic technologist and relating to the health field.

Requirements

  • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience at an approved ARRT facility.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

    Required to be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain a current Oregon license.

Summary

Primary duty includes but not limited to operating radiographic equipment to produce images of body for diagnostic purpose as directed by physician.
