Amie Angelastro, OT, CHT

Joining the team at Slocum Orthopedics has given me the opportunity to combine my passion for hand therapy with a collaborative approach to patient care that has long been a hallmark of the practice.

For more than 27 years, I have specialized in occupational therapy, with the last 22 years dedicated to practicing as a Certified Hand Therapist. I am also certified in lymphatic drainage. My interest in hand therapy began during occupational therapy school, where exceptional mentors encouraged me to pursue this specialty and ultimately become a Certified Hand Therapist. I find it incredibly rewarding to work alongside patients as they navigate recovery from injury, helping them overcome challenges and return to the activities that make them feel like the best version of themselves.

My connection to Slocum began early in my career when, as a student, I had the opportunity to learn from two Certified Hand Therapists who were part of the practice before it became Slocum. After several years working at a small hand therapy practice in Bend, I knew I wanted to join a team known for its collaborative relationships between therapists and physicians and its commitment to delivering exceptional orthopedic care.

When I'm not working with patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children, playing tennis, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks.
