Jennifer Babich, PA-C
Board-certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) since 2014, I serve as a joint replacement, hip, and knee physicians assistant with Slocum Orthopedics.
As a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), I thoroughly enjoy being part of the total joint team. My role allows me to educate patients about their hip and knee conditions, and help them manage their symptoms with or without surgical intervention. My job is very rewarding and fulfilling, especially when I'm able to hear when a patient is no longer in pain, or how they were able to return to activities they enjoy, lose weight, or return to being able to play with their grandkids.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends and participating in various outdoor activities depending on the season. In the winter my husband and I enjoy skiing and snowboarding and throughout the year we also enjoy camping, hiking, and spending time on the river.
Education & Training
I have been a physician assistant at Slocum since the summer of 2015. Early on, I assisted in surgery across subspecialties and eventually started working more exclusively in total joints. I primarily work with Dr. Jewett in clinic and surgery but also participate in taking trauma call.
