Implant Removal

Safe and effective contraceptive implant removal

The implant removal procedure involves the removal of a contraceptive implant from the upper arm of a patient. The patient’s arm is first numbed with a local anesthetic, and a small incision is made at the site of the implant. The implant is then carefully extracted from the arm using forceps or a special removal tool. Once the implant is removed, the incision is closed with sutures or adhesive strips, and a sterile dressing is applied to the area. The patient may experience some mild discomfort or bruising at the site of the incision, but this typically subsides within a few days. The procedure is generally safe and effective, and allows patients to discontinue the use of the contraceptive implant if desired.
