Megan Kunkel, MD
Sports medicine combines my lifelong love of movement with my passion for helping others stay active and well. As an athlete, I understand the challenges of injury and recovery and work closely with my patients to help them return to the activities they enjoy stronger and healthier than before.
I specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in athletes and active individuals of all ages. I also specialize in the use of ultrasound for both diagnostic and procedural purposes, allowing for more precise, efficient, and comfortable care. I’ve served as a team physician for high school and collegiate programs and provided coverage for marathons, ultramarathons, and multi-sport tournaments. I believe deeply in the principle of exercise as medicine and am committed to helping each patient achieve lifelong wellness through movement.
Outside of work, I love trail running, hiking, skiing, and paddleboarding with my husband, family, and friends. I also enjoy board games, reading, and spending time in Oregon’s beautiful natural spaces.
