Trek Lyons, MD
I bring over two decades of sports medicine expertise to my role at Slocum Orthopedics, where I've served since 2003, including as a team physician for the University of Oregon.
I completed my residency at Memorial Family Practice Residency in South Bend, Indiana, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Sports Medicine Institute/University of Notre Dame. As a nonoperative sports medicine specialist, I focus on helping patients return to their pre-injury state or achieve their optimal fitness level. While I see many upper extremity conditions, I maintain active involvement with lower extremity cases and continue my rewarding role as a team physician at the University of Oregon.
Growing up on a farm in northern Utah and participating in multiple high school sports helped shape my understanding of sports medicine from both an athlete's and physician's perspective. Away from Slocum and the University, I cherish time with my family, especially my wife Nicole, who is both my best friend and exercise partner. I maintain diverse interests including art, music, meteorology, languages, and history. I try to improve how I treat others, and keep fighting the battle to get my fitness better.
