David Bear, MD

Specialty
Surgical Treatment of Hand, Elbow, & Shoulder

I chose to become an orthopedic surgeon because I wanted to improve patients’ lives and help them get back to enjoying the activities they love.

I believe each patient is unique, which is why I take a personalized treatment approach. After discussing a patient’s goals and desires, I work with them to come up with a treatment plan that not only improves their function and decreases their pain but also gets them back to living an active life.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, staying active by exercising and hiking, and volunteering locally as well as in other countries on surgical missions.

Testimonials

“Dr. Bear was very fast, efficient, and thorough. He explained things well and answered all of our questions. He made it very clear that it was my choice to have surgery. I didn’t feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want to do.”

“Went in to get my broken wrist cast. They were very busy, so I settled in for what I thought would be a miserable wait. To my surprise, they got me through the check-in process quickly, and I was seen in good time by Dr. Bear. Was sent to get plastered up, and to scheduling, and I was on my way. The whole appointment took an hour and a half. Efficient and I did not feel like just a number. They did a good job.”

“Dr. Bear and all the staff are great at what they do. They’re very compassionate and very caring. I felt very at ease with this process and continue to do so if I need further procedures. Thank you guys very much.”

“Dr. Bear was very professional and very kind open. He made me feel really relaxed.”

“Dr. Bear’s exam was thorough and thoughtful. This provided me a relatively high confidence level in his recommended course of treatment, along with an understanding of further measures that may be needed if the initial treatment did not resolve my finger pain and movement issues.”

“The staff was friendly. Dr. Bear was super nice, and I was made to feel confident in his ability to proceed with surgery. He also has a sense of humor!”

“Dr. Bear is an excellent surgeon. Listens to his patients. Explores all options for treatment & explains the choices that will enable the patient &/or patient’s family to make the right choices.”

“David Bear is a rockstar. We are so fortunate to have somebody of his training and qualifications working in this community. I have had him do carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. It was virtually painless, and I have no scars. I can’t express how grateful I am for the relief – no more numbness.”

“Dr. Bear is amazing, he did my hand and elbow and my daughter Keira came in to see him last week. She felt very comfortable and at ease and she has a surgery date for the 15th.”

“Dr. Bear was warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about shoulders and the problems I am having.”
