S. Blake Dowdle, MD
As a physician with Slocum Orthopedics, I specialize in the surgical treatment of pediatric, adolescent, and adult sports injuries, primarily of the hip and knee.
After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Utah, I obtained my medical degree and went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency with The University of Iowa's Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation College of Medicine. Continuing my education, I returned to the University of Utah to complete my fellowship in joint preservation and sports medicine.
Through my experience, I have had the opportunity to care for professional athletes from all over the world as the team doctor for the NBA's Utah Jazz team and the University of Utah's football program.
