Heather A. Campion, MD
Be it hobbies, work, or the activities of daily life, we need our hands to function. Hand and wrist surgery allows me to care for the young and elderly, athletes, gardeners, musicians, manual laborers, and everything in between.
Upon completion of my Orthopedics Residency at the University of Iowa, graduating at the top of my class at the Stitch School of Medicine with the Loyola University of Chicago, and training in hand and upper extremity Surgery in Oklahoma City, I've continued my surgical upper extremity education by attending local and national conferences in nerve repair and reconstruction, wrist arthroscopy, and sports injuries. I have always loved school, learning, and staying busy. I love caring for the musculoskeletal system, improving a patient's quality of life, and getting people back to life!
My practice includes caring for all kinds of hand, wrist, and upper extremity problems. I treat nerve, tendon, bone, ligament, joint, skin, and some vascular pathology. Common conditions I care for include carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, tendonitis, Dupuytrens disease, ligament tears, tendon lacerations, ganglion cysts, TFCC tears, hand and wrist arthritis and instability. One of my niches includes wrist arthroscopy, TFCC repair , and carpal instability reconstruction.
When not working I stay active running, doing cross fit and yoga. Other seasonal favorites include skiing, gardening, pickle ball and paddleboarding. Community involvement includes supporting local charities and organizations such as Angel Hair Foundation, Eugene Ballet, Boys and Girls Clubs, Relief Nursery, Catholic Community Services, and our local Catholic Schools and Parishes. The most important thing to me is my family. My husband and I are busy raising our three active children. We enjoy traveling, reading, playing legos, swimming, bike riding and taking our Australian Shephard for walks.
